Diane I. Meherbani Kaur Desrochers graduated from the University of Ottawa with a BA in Social Communications and from the University of Waterloo with a BA in Psychology. In 2000, she was awarded a Master’s in the Applied Science of Nutrition from Edison Institute of Nutrition.
She is first and foremost a Kundalini Yoga and Breathwalk teacher (Levels 1 and 2 advanced certification) and trainer certified by the International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association and the Kundalini Research Institute’s Aquarian Trainer Academy. She is also a E-RYT 500 member of Yoga Alliance.
Meherbani has received her certification as a Prenatal Yoga Teacher of the Kundalini-Based Khalsa Way® and has trained with Dr. Shanti Shanti Kaur of the Guru Ram Das Center for Medicine and Humanology of New Mexico for Kundalini Yoga Therapeutics - Bringing Kundalini Yoga into the Healthcare Field certification.
She has trained as Level 1 Urban Poling Nordic Walking instructor. This training is recognized by:

Her Kundalini Yoga teacher training of 500 hours is internationally recognized and certified by the Yoga Alliance and the International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association. She has added to this training another 500 hours of specialization in cancer prevention, addiction recovery, prenatal, postnatal and restorative yogas for people with health conditions. From the beginning of her teaching career in 2005, these highly specialized techniques have provided her with the tools to assist any person no matter their age or health condition (and this always with prior approval from their physician).
Living in the spirit of her name “Meherbani” meaning kindness, she breathes to serve students and others by sharing the science of Kundalini yoga with all who wishes to experience it, whether in classroom or institutional settings or in daily life, so they can all experience their birthright of Happiness and Health.
Meherbani offers person-centered lifestyle and nutrition counseling and coaching services. For the past fifteen years, she has been presenting community and corporate seminars, locally, nationally, and internationally, specializing in Women’s health issues – from the first breath to the last --, stress management and addiction recovery. She is a long standing certified member of the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants and the Board of Natural Medicine Doctors and Practitioners/Natural Medicne Certification Council.
